All I can say is, Mr. Podhorzer, if you wonder if you're making an impact with your incredibly researched article, I can tell you for me the answer is 'yes'. With Biden as the candidate, I felt like I was watching a slow-moving train wreck that sucked my energy out with only enough in me to feebly send money to campaigns. Now I am energized at Biden's decision to step aside but I also know the election could still go either way. I read your article first thing this morning and sent it to my Indivisible group, a group of about 40 people who have been inactive for about three years now, suggesting we get back to work. Thank you.
Kamala's VP should be Shawn Fain or Gretchen Whitmer, with their progressive populist appeal to blue collar middle America, against Vance's phony populism. To bring youthful activist energy to the campaign, a plank demanding no more US arms without withdrawal of all illegal Israeli settlements as the only meaningful step for a 2-state solution. Make the expansive pro-working class economic policies of the Build Back Better bill (that the R's blocked) the center of the platform.
Extremely well argued and morally righteous. I would like more analysis about whether you think Harris can win back disillusioned young voters and voters of color, especially given Trump’s gains among young men of color.
Likewise, is it enough for her simply to prosecute the case against MAGA? What positive message and story can she and the Democrats articulate at the same time to give Americans hope? What policies should they trumpet to gain enthusiasm and actually put this country back on the right track?
There were about 60,000 new voter registrations immediately after Harris became the presumptive nominee, and 83% of them are in the 18-24 range ... so yes. And the main focus should very much be on MAGA and she's doing that, but she's also talking about this administration's achievements and her plans for the future. Tune in and listen.
I don’t believe any of the polls out there. So you lose me entirely by your dependence on them. I’m an Independent who refuses to do polls and so do my Democrat friends.

From what I've heard from VP Harris so far, she's doing it right.

National slogan at all campaign events and rallies shouted by thousands across the country…
TAKE BACK OUR RIGHTS”
