I experienced some interesting twists and turns while serving summons and subpoenas in this case, including my licensed process server being threatened with arrest while delivering one and walking her to her car (Harlan Crow), and a call from the Supreme Court Inspector General on another.
Surprisingly, Leonard Leo signed his Subpeona, and apparently, Judge Alito was served in his pyjamas (but signed it), which is when I got the call from the inspector general (who asked me not to deliver the rest) but my case was pulled into a republican judge's court shortly after, who dismissed the case and tagged me as vexatious (even though I sought no damages). I mean, the corruption is deep.
I wish Nina Totenberg could have joined in the conversation so she could speak to the fear this SCOTUS brings to the reporters as if to say, 'we dare you to expound on what's really going on'. The corruption in service of rich white men will never be held in check going forward, will it?

a realignment of the world order where an isolationist America is abandoned for new superpowers,

Americans are too uninformed, misinformed, and passive. Legacy journalists are cowed by corporate owners. Democratic leadership is rudderless, lacking the vision, strategy, or political will to buck their donors.
Even in the unlikely event that Democrats win the House in 2026, they'll claim a lack of power because of a GOP-controlled Senate.
Even in the minuscule event that Democrats win the Senate in 2026, Trump will veto any legislation, so their strategy will be to fundraise for 2028.
Even if the country isn't embroiled in political violence, martial law, mass poverty, and homelessness by 2028, and Trump doesn't simply run a 3rd time with SCOTUS' blessing, a trifecta is meaningless since SCOTUS will crater all progressive legislation.
So, barring a massive grassroots movement that creates a 3rd party willing to challenge the mass corruption at the heart of this country, the 99% will have to lose everything.
When there's nothing left to lose, people may finally act.
