FYI, the pope has spoken infallibly on only two matters, both concerning doctrine/faith: in 1854 to say that Jesus’ mother, Mary, was born without sin (Immaculate Conception), and in 1950 that Mary was assumed body and soul into heaven (The Assumption). What that means is that no pope has spoken infallibly for the last 76 years on any matter. Anyone who assumes that every time Leo opens his mouth he’s speaking infallibly can use a reminder of what the doctrine of invaluability means. Especially if that person is one who likes to boast of his recent convert to the faith, and is the vice president of the United States.
