It’s all corrupt. They are traitors to “we the people”. Money must not play a part of any government employees decisions. Free and fair; Without fear or favor - liberty and justice for all - are fantasy. Tempertantrump and Administration are the epitome of the corrupt. Time for a change back to “we the people”.

It's great that you emphasize connection to the climate and the environment. This right here is the highest value journalism around about a subject that mainstream long ago decided was too complicated and technical for the public. Specialized legal podcasts abound, most focus too much on Trump insiders, some are good but few really grasp the connections to history and sociology, or really connect the dots as you do here. (Bob Kuttner and other journalists need to pay more attention to this work and stop telling people nonsense about what the court is doing in relation to Trump.)
One additional note after reading the entire NYT article. Fortunately a local library provides free access, as I can't stomach it for too long and can't support them. My comment is that I simply can’t believe they actually refer to the Ckean Air Act of 1970 (ya know, the frickin CLEAN AIR ACT!) as “an old law” when discussing the epa’s approach.
Of course this needs to be understood in context of Roberts court jurusprudence and their new doctrines that basically create an assumption that Congress must regulate pollutants in real time without any data or other scientific help from the agency it set up to do so. Calling a landmark environmental law an “an old law” (like an old sweater?) plays this card on behalf of the court and its influencers; and NYT pretends it's uncovering the issue when Steve Vladeck already wrote a book on it.
I’m excited that Jodi Kantor is handling the SCOTUS beat. She’s a fabulous, fearless, investigative reporter. With other investigations she’s handled, the first article triggered many more revelations. We can only hope the same will happen on the Supreme Court beat.
