I think so. It forces staff and shoppers to confront truth, demonstrates collective defiance, and doesn’t (hopefully) put shoppers on defense but rather shows they could hop on board the boycott train.
Plus it’s getting attention. And that is task number one.
Mass, coordinated consumer activism seems like such an underused tool. I want to learn more about it. I mean theoretically, about what would enable/promote a fuller use of this sort of activism in general. Suggestions about readings or other relevant info sources?
